Albion, once again, have put up a challenge to spend 12 hours outdoors on a bike, in one go. Last year i’ve kinda failed but this year the plans are layed out to nail this. This year I’ll bikepack to the start of the famous Friese 11 Steden Tocht on the 29th of May.
I’ll start my travels from home (Alkmaar) going to the South of the Netherlands and spend the first night at Vrienden op de Fiets in Zeeland
Day two will a long day towards Arnhem, where, after some climbing in the end, I’ll sleep at my sisters, hoping to arrive on time for some shopping and good conversations.
Day three, will start with climbing, a couple of the Dutch Mountains will be battled and then we arrive in the flatlands, ending in Bolsward where there is place to sleep booked in a B&B for some well earned rest before the alarm will ring very early for a 6:36AM start of the Friese 11 Steden Fietstocht, 234 Km’s accross eleven cities in Friesland, based on the famous 11 Steden Schaatstocht.
All in all it will 484km bikepacking and the 232km on the 11 Stedentocht, first part solo, last day in a peleton.
